Operation Shoestring’s Annual Angel Tree Drive

This year’s annual Angel Tree Drive was a huge success! With the help of our sponsors, we were able to give gifts to every single one of our Operation Shoestring children this year, meaning 101 students.

The Angel Tree Drive event is a time when we can give back to the local community, providing clothes, shoes, and toys to our Operation Shoestring families. This year will be the first year that Operation Shoestring has sponsored every single child in our program! We’re so thankful for all of our sponsors and donors for making it happen:

Business/Organizations

Individual/Family Sponsors

This year, we’re taking extra safety precautions when delivering gifts to the families. This year’s distribution was similar to the Thanksgiving Drive–the families would drive up and open their trunk, and we’d gather the items for the children in that family and put them in the back of the car.

The importance of meeting community needs

Operation Shoestring believes in giving back to the community, and making sure that every family knows that they are valued. During our annual Angel Tree Drive, we remember that many people need extra support during the holiday season, especially a season in the middle of a pandemic.

We recognize that support is not just about meeting physical needs, but also helping families receive social and emotional support during the holiday season. Being acknowledged from the local community, sponsors, and family and friends is extremely important, especially during the holidays. Every gift goes a long way.

We wish you all a happy and safe holiday season, from our family at Operation Shoestring to yours!
