Since 1968, Operation Shoestring has promoted health and self-sufficiency in our target neighborhoods, uplifting the under-resourced and brightening the future for us all.

We’re also implementing the latest approaches in nonprofit program management, such as a two-generation focus and a collaborative model with the members of the community that drives programming.

100% of Operation Shoestring seniors graduated during our Ambassadors program academic years since 2010 when we began the program.

3rd Grade Reading Gate

91% of Operation Shoestring’s 3rd graders have passed the 3rd grade Reading Test since the 2014-15 academic year.

Elementary School Promotion

97% of Operation Shoestring elementary school children were promoted to the next grade since the 2014-15 academic year.
