Operation Shoestring is hosting a music event and fundraiser: The Times They Are A-Changin’: An Evening Without Bob Dylan on Thursday, June 1, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at Duling Hall, 622 Duling Avenue.

The event will feature live performances by bands and artists of songs from Bob Dylan. The bands and artists who will be covering these songs include Cynical Twins, Sika, Lee Barber, Josh Little, James Martin, Bronwynne Brent, Furrows Ft. James Crow, David Minchew & Pine Tar Rhythm Section, Rhonda Richmond, and more in the works.

“Bob Dylan’s music is known for its astute social commentary and moving spiritual inspiration. We think this is a perfect match for our values and work serving kids, families and our larger community – and will be just plain fun,” said Robert Langford, executive director of Operation Shoestring.

Tickets are $10 in advance, and $15 at the door. Cash bars will be available. Purchase your tickets here.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the children and families Operation Shoestring serves in central Jackson.
